Series of Poker 2005 Tournament of Champions. In doing so,
he triumphed over a field of 113 of the top poker players in
the world and took home a prize of $1,000,000. Mike is a
familiar  figure to fans of ESPN’s coverage of the WSOP.

World Series of Poker: History of the World Series of Poker
It all begins with three men, years before the first World
Series of Poker, in 1949, when Nick “the Greek” Dandalos
asked Lester “Benny” Binion, owner of the Horseshoe Casino
in Downtown Las Vegas, to arrange the biggest poker game
of all time. Binion knew just the guy to take on the Greek –
Johnny Moss, the best poker player in the world.
